Wittyfit helps GRTGaz become a European leader in green energy

Change stratgey to face new challenges

In a rapidly changing industry, GRTgaz makes Wittyfit a central tool to support its transformation. The platform will help it become a greener, more digital and more humane company.

Created in 2005, this subsidiary of the Engie Group does not hide its strong ambitions for the years to come. “Our goal is clear: we want to become the reference carrier in Europe for natural gas. This means being at the forefront of energy innovation to provide a more efficient and intelligent service“. Today, more than 3,000 employees are working to achieve this ambition.

Since 2018, the CIO has been the armed arm of this vision through the BOOST’IT programme who wants to make teams more agile and sensitive to the value they create. Thisrequires collective intelligence and the development of a culture of trust. GRTgaz sees the human factoras a central element of performance to stand out on a particularly complexmarket.

Boost’IT program launched

Wittyfit was chosen to structure the BOOST’IT program and help management better collect employees’ feelings. “Wittyfit met ourneeds,” he tells us, “the solution and the proposed approach perfectly framed our problems of transformation and listening.”

The project was divided into two phases. “A first diagnostic phase that gave us a clear picture of the situation before transformation. We then launched a second campaign in 2019 to assess the impact of our first actions“. The interest of this type of approach is to follow the real evolution of the employees’ feelings over time.

During the second campaign, “Wiityfit helped us develop a personalized indicator to better measure the impact of our transformational actions on the daily lives of the teams.” For Hervé there is no doubt, “Thanks to Wittyfit, we can better understand the levers of engagement and pain points of our teams.”

What’s next? Decentralize the use of the platform so that each manager autonomously manages the satisfaction of his teams. That they will be able to manage collaboratively. With several hundred ideas put forward, they have their work cut out for them, and this is the heart of the manager’s job.

Hervé concludes with advice to those who would like to imitate him, “to engage in this type of approach is very rewarding because we are embarking on a process of continuous improvement. The key factors for success? Maintain momentum over time, share results transparently and place managers with their teams at the centre of the system.”
